Level:Experienced Manager

Minimum Requirements

  • Current Medical Assistant or advanced medical license/certification
  • Proficient with computers, medical equipment, electronic medical records (EMR)
  • 3+ years of experience managing clinic staff

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Professional and personable with customer service and management skills
  • Familiar with medical office billing systems
  • 5+ years of experience in Oncology specialty office
  • Phlebotomy/IV Certificate

Education

  • High School Diploma, Some College

  • Ability to perform optimally in a busy, growing environment
  • Patient friendly and accommodating communication skills
  • Flexibility with an innovative and growing practice in a dynamic industry

MA MANAGER KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform all key functions and responsibilities of MEDICAL ASSISTANT, and CLINIC LEAD MEDICAL ASSISTANT
  • Assist management in the onboarding of new Medical Assistants, and Back Office staff
  • Serve as Preceptor for newly hired Medical Assistants and Back Office staff
  • Coordinate with Management on the approval of time off, sick calls and scheduling of staff
  • Oversee workflow and supervise Medical Assistants and Clinic Lead MA’s
  • Deploy training, retraining and skills testing as needed to maintain top performance of staff
  • Hold routine meetings with staff and clinic leads to ensure efficient workflow of the clinic
  • Assist management with staff meetings, in-service meetings and company events
  • Attend management meetings and training sessions
  • Coordinate with Physicians and Management to provide staff when needed in critical areas of the clinic
  • Review and report on the performance of MA’s and Lead MA’s on a routine basis
  • Assist other department managers as needed
  • Manage projects, and meet deadlines assigned by Providers and Management
  • Coordinate with Providers to manage care of patients
  • Coordinate with Back Office staff to track and intake new patients into the practice
  • Coordinate with Back Office staff to manage care of patients
  • Assist in projects with Medical and Back Office staff
