Level:Experienced Manager

• Current Laboratory Technician license/certification
• Proficient with computers, medical equipment, electronic medical records (EMR)
• Knowledge of medical terminology, proper personal protective equipment and protocol
• Knowledge of administration procedures, dose, route and proper documentation
• Experience managing laboratory or clinic

• Professional and personable with customer service skills
• 5 years of experience as Laboratory Technician or performing related tasks
• Knowledge of cancer care agents, pharmacology of cytotoxic and immunologic agents
• Current Phlebotomy/Medical Assistant license/certification

• High School Diploma and/or College Degree

• Ability to perform optimally in a busy, growing environment
• Exceptional time management, organization and attention to detail
• Flexibility with an innovative and growing practice in a dynamic industry

• Perform all key functions and responsibilities of LABORATORY TECHNICIAN and LABORATORY LEAD
• Manage approval of time off, sick calls and scheduling of Laboratory Technician staff
• Serve as Preceptor for newly hired Laboratory staff
• Deploy training, retraining and skills testing as needed to maintain top performance of staff
• Perform duties under direct supervision of Medical Staff or Provider
• Oversee workflow and supervise Laboratory staff
• Hold routine meetings with staff and clinic leads to ensure efficient workflow of the clinic
• Assist Management with staff meetings, in-service meetings and company events
• Attend Management meetings and training sessions
• Coordinate with Physicians and Management to provide staff when needed in critical areas of the clinic
• Review and report on the performance of Laboratory staff on a routine basis
• Manage projects and meet deadlines assigned by Providers and Management
• Assist other department managers as needed
• Perform all requirements to complying with Lab certifications and audits
• Produce reports for Management and Physicians as needed
• Cross check and reconcile invoices with packing slips for Management and Accounting
• Manager the process of couriering specimens between clinics and labs as needed
• Report to additional practice locations to provide Laboratory Technician coverage as needed
